Partnership with OSIsoft (now part of AVEVA)

Squishy at OSISoft
John Matranga, Director–Business Incubation and Acceleration at AVEVA, welcomes Squishy Robotics' officers (l. to r.) Deniz Dogruer, Brian Cera, and Alice Agogino to the company's headquarters in San Leandro, CA.

Squishy Robotics is a Technology Partner of OSIsoft, (now part of AVEVA) maker of the PI System, which is a leading industrial operations data management platform, commonly used in power, utility, oil, gas, paper, metals, mining, petro-chemical, and pharmaceutical companies.

The PI System is a suite of software that is used to collect data from diverse hardware/software appliances and monitoring equipment including pumps, temperature gages, engines, lab equipment and testing devices as well as manually entered information. The PI System stores this data in the cloud, aggregating and historicizing the data with new and previously uploaded information in its database. Users access this cloud-based repository, using this information for business analysis needs, such as efficiency, maintenance, and safety monitoring, optimizing system, machinery, and team performance, and researching seasonal trends or geographic-specific demands. As an OSIsoft/AVEVA Technology Partner, Squishy Robotics is currently working to PI-enable our robots.

“Our partnership with OSIsoft/AVEVA means that our sensor-collected data will be integrated into the company’s ecosystem,” said Brian Cera, director of controls engineering at Squishy Robotics. “Many of our future customers—especially the oil and petrochemical companies and utilities that have been reaching out to us—are already members of this ecosystem. By PI-enabling our sensors, we can offer valuable, aggregated real-time data available via PI System software tools that customers are already using.”
